Lead Pastor, Ronald Byrd, and his wife, Kay, moved to Bryant from Poplar Bluff, Missouri, where he served on the General Baptist Leadership Team as the Director for National Missions, leading the church planting arm of the General Association of General Baptists. The Byrds led churches in Arkansas and Indiana for twenty years before moving to the General Baptist Ministries office in Missouri; they were church planters for several of those years.

 

 

 

Kay, besides being a great pastor's wife, works in media at the church and provides some of the refreshments during Sunday morning hospitality time.

 

 

 

Ron has a master’s degree from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, Kentucky. His doctoral and undergraduate studies are both from Oakland City University, Oakland City, Indiana.

 

 

 

Ron and Kay are both Arkansans. Ron is from Bigelow, Kay from Perryville. They have a daughter, Stephanie, and a son, Stephen.

 

 

 

Stephanie recently completed a MS in Nutrition at the University of Central Arkansas and has taken a insurance industry nutrition consulting position in Franklin, Tennessee. She is married to Robert Toon, who will be studying for his undergraduate degree. They have two sons, Michael and Jackson; Stephanie is pregnant, expecting the birth to be in September 2007. 

 

 

 

Stephen is enrolled in the University of Missouri School of Medicine, studying pharmacy at the Columbia, Missouri, campus. He and his wife, Bethany, who is working on her masters degree in education, have one son, Cameron.


Johnny Hill assists the pastor in oversight and decision making. He and his wife, Jill, have four young children--Micah, Noah, Ella, and Eli. Johnny, a graduate of Bryant High School, is a Little Rock Firefighter. He also serves as song leader and is the facilities manager.
 
Jill will oversee the church's drama ministries.
 
Cheryl Harrell is the church's Administrative Assistant and Childrens Ministry Coordinator. She is also assistant song leader. Her husband, Doyce, is a Wednesday Bible Study teacher and preaches in the worship service when called upon. He also helps with media. They have two children, Mason and Cynthia. They moved to the area from Bentonville recently. 
 
Odell Alford is our lead Greeter. His wife, Diane, is the Hospitality Director. Both are there to welcome you with a smile, handshake, a donut, and a cup of coffee.
 
Becky Staton is our point person on youth activities. She has plans for many great recreational activities and spiritual adventure activities.
